Our goal is simple: exploring and protecting our planet. Thus, we replace airplanes by cargo ships, buses by bikes, and plan our trip in a sustainable manner. We want to minimize our ecological footprint while maximizing our experience. Through the ways we travel, the regions we visit and the choices we make on our trip, we can create awareness and have a positive impact on our planet and the people who live on it. We want to educate people about their impact on even the most remote areas of our planet and spread the word about sustainable traveling and simple lifestyles. In addition, we support fundraising projects aligning with our mission.
How can you help? Select one of our projects and donate!
German Red Cross
The humanitarian aid of the Red Cross knows no boundaries. Only the thought of helping people in need counts. It doesn’t matter where help is needed. Whether there are floods, earthquakes, famines, epidemics or armed conflicts – they are there to help. With our donations we can help them to help others in their specific emergencies.
Three trillion trees exist worldwide right now. Founded in 2007 by then nine-year-old Felix Finkbeiner, Plant-for-the-Planet’s mission is to increase that number by another trillion. So far they have been able to plant more than 15 billion trees. Reduce your carbon footprint by supporting The Trillion Tree Campaign.
World Childhood Foundation
The World Childhood Foundation was founded in 1999 by a compelling need to address the social and emotional poverty of children around the world. Its mission is to promote better living conditions for children at risk. Childhood wants to give all children the opportunity to develop into strong, secure and responsible human beings.
Still a few bucks left to spare?
You’re already our hero for donating money above. If you haven’t, you can still do it, we forgive you. And we know this is more than we could ever ask of you, but even though we’re already traveling on a shoestring the costs of our journey quickly add up. So all we want to say is that we’d really appreciate it if you’d invite us to a coffee or two.
